A New Season

2008 is a year I will never forget. It was a very special moment in my life and ministry. After a terrible 2007, the Lord started speaking to me about a new season. He started talking to me about a brand new thing. He also took me to a trip to the DRC that I will never forget. The trip was the first time I traveled back home alone but the Lord knew He would surround me with a new group of people who would help me have a clearer perception of my calling. This is when I “accidentally” met my friend, brother Damon. God has used him a lot to speak into my life. One day while I was sharing my vision with him, I told him that I had spent the last 3 years observing and learning from people who are doing the same thing I used to. Damon had this prophetic word for me: “This is a new season for you; there is a time when a man stops learning and starts doing what he is called to do.”
It was the beginning of a brand new season. 2008 is when a group of rape victims gathered in Bideka, a small village 30 km from Bukavu in eastern Congo. Mwangaza took a step of faith and the very little we had, we always shared with them. I had been praying that the Lord would open a door to start a healing center for these women where they would find peace, love and restoration in Christ.
A year later, the students at Ozark Christian College took a very special offering. They sacrificially gave items that they cherished to be sold in an eBay auction. The auction produced enough to rent a place and start the healing center.

We have paid the rent and we are fixing the place so that it will be ready to welcome the girls as soon as possible. Bideka is our first shelter that we completely operate. I am excited! This is a new season and we count on your prayers. Thank you for being with us and helping us grow. Together I know we will change these lives one little thing and one small act of love at a time.
